The Business Kid

Each week I watch my mother mow,
Just back and forth and to and fro.
She never smiles until she's done,
But still, it looks like lots of fun.

When I'm a teen instead of ten,
She'll give the job to me, and then
I'll climb aboard the driver's seat
Determined to the grass defeat.

Atop my tank, I'll mow blades down.
We'll have the neatest yard in town.
When neighbors see how well I do,
They'll pay me to cut their lawns, too.

Then when the cash starts rolling in,
A mowing business I'll begin.
I'll hire Alexis, Jake, and Mitch.
Before you know it, I'll be rich.
